New Leadership for Farm Fresh Rhode Island

In the Fall of 2025, Farm Fresh Rhode Island (FFRI) engaged KK&P to help them identify and recruit a new Executive Director to lead their organization. A nationally recognized nonprofit food hub, FFRI has sought to grow and strengthen Rhode Island’s local food system since 2004. They also host the largest winter farmers' market in New England, lease operating space for several local food businesses, and run numerous programs—Farmers Markets, Farm to School & Community Education, Bonus Bucks, Hope's Harvest, Market Mobile, and Harvest Kitchen—that bring their food systems mission to life with hands-on community work. KK&P had previously worked with FFRI in researching and developing a five-year strategic plan so already had a deep understanding of the organization’s inner workings and capabilities. After a targeted and thorough national search, KK&P helped bring Janet Coit—former director of Rhode Island’s Department of Environmental Management, among many other career accomplishments—to the Executive Director position.
