Nation will also produce, and Hudson will direct.
The show will follow Kaleb Nation, as he develops the parodies, music videos, and pop culture commentary that have garnered over 28 million views on his YouTube channel, while throwing Nation into a totally new arena—Hollywood. Celebrities and other YouTube personalities will guest star, while Nation experiences a behind the scenes look at what it takes to make it on, and off, the red carpet. The producers are keeping the details under lock and key, but we were able to get a few comments.
According to Kami Garcia, “Anyone who watches Kaleb’s videos will immediately see the potential of the show, and I’m excited to be part of it.” Mark Morgan added, “I find Kaleb to be a fascinating and highly entertaining piece of talent. This is more than a TV show. Kaleb is a brand in and unto himself, and I am happy to be working with someone who has his finger on the pulse of current pop culture.”
This is one of the first times a YouTuber has taken a big step forward into television, and we can’t wait to see what Kaleb and KK&P come up with! A release date and place to watch have not been revealed yet since they’re still early in the production process, but we’ll keep you updated.

Series director and producer, Arthur Allan Seidelman (The Sisters, A Christmas Carol, Puerto Vallarta Squeeze) states, “…unlike other period miniseries that focuses on the omnipotent ruler in his decadent palace, ‘Quattro’ is about the street-the-day-today mechanics of power in the early age of art as propaganda…but don’t worry, there’s plenty of sex, too!”
Quattrocento is the first ever entirely independently financed TV mini-series without network participation in the United States or abroad. Michael Pollack, Kerry Kimmel & Pollack’s CEO, notes, “The remarkable thing is that we already have both domestic and international distribution prior to casting. This speaks to the depth of the team and the quality of the writing.”
Lion’s Gate has penned the dela to distribute, and financing is being handled by the Quaestor Group of Hungary through its affiliate, Corvin US & New Media Distributors, LLC. KK&P’s Partner/Writer/Producer/Director Brett Hudson said, “We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with Quaestor. I have a long history in televisoin as does (KK&P President) Mark Morgan.” Morgan added, “We plan on developing several television series over the next few years.”
