As you will have noticed if you are reading this on our new website, Karp Resources has changed its name to Karen Karp & Partners, or KK&P for short.

The decision to change the firm’s name is the fitting conclusion to a recent review of our brand and clarification of our mission.

One thing we learned from this reflective work is that most of our clients might know me, Karen, but not the extended team of strategists, analysts, planners, engineers, designers and marketers who are truly partners in championing a new food future. So we are moving away from “resources,” because KK&P is about the people who make the magic happen.

We transform good ideas into good food. That’s what we have been doing since 1990, though our services have broadened in that time to include business and program design, supply-chain strategies, stakeholder outreach and engagement, and recruiting and organizational effectiveness consulting.

It’s a privilege to harness our creativity, expertise and connections on behalf of a “who’s who” of the nation’s food system. In recent months we have been proud to foster these innovations:

  • the implementation of a new culinary arts program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College;
  • the creation of a café at the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose that serves delicious, healthy food, educates patrons about how to eat healthier, and operates in the black;
  • and the design and co-production of the annual James Beard Foundation Food Conference in Manhattan for the sixth year in a row.

Our name has changed, but our ethos and approach remains the same. KK&P began as a firm dedicated to reinventing food systems, and that is still our mission.

All the best,

Karen Karp
